A man caught trying to steal a baby at Ringroad, Benin City, Edo State.

A man was apprehended in a broad daylight trying to steal a baby from his mother in the early hours of today at Benin city. 

The unfortunate incident occurred at the busy heart of Benin city, where the mother of the child raised alarm when the culprit snatch her child from her and ran away. 

A mob immediately swung into action and caught the culprit. The culprit was asked why he stole the baby and in response, he clearly said that an Alhaji sent him to get a baby for him for the purpose of human rituals. The mob beat the culprit to stupor before handing him over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
